Based in real theatrical history, this is a romantic coming-of-age story. In 1937 New York, Richard, a teenaged actor lucks into a role in Julius Caesar as it is being re-imagined by a young director named Orson Welles. The rollercoaster week leading up to opening night has the charismatic-but-sometimes-cruel Welles staking his career on this risky production. Richard finds romance with a worldly older woman, and learns the downside of crossing the imperious, brilliant Welles.
