An intimate look into the forty-plus year friendship and correspondence between playwright-actor Sam Shepard and his reclusive friend and former father-in-law, Johnny Dark. Shepard became a Pulitzer Prize winning playwright and an Academy Award-nominated author while Dark was a homebody with a penchant for photography and letter writing.
