In 1997, Matt Jackson quit his job, strode to the edge of the Trans-Canada Highway near Lake Louise, and began his journey. His plan was to hitchhike across Canada, expecting the trip to take three months - but didn't arrive in Newfoundland until three and a half years later. It's a good, old-fashioned road tale.
